Our verdict on the Haier AS35S2SF3FA-B

At the lowest fan speed, the indoor unit delivered just 29,6 dB, making it one of the quietest models in «Август-климат» tests. When dismantling the heat exchangers, the team counted 0,38 m² of copper in the indoor unit and 0,91 m² in the outdoor unit; that outdoor heat-exchanger area had appeared in their measurement table only once before — in a heat pump. Those large heat exchangers explain the high A+++ energy-efficiency rating and a seasonal SEER above 8,0.

They also specifically checked electronics robustness: the air conditioner was connected via an autotransformer and the voltage was reduced all the way to 100 V (off-camera even to 80!) — while the compressor and fan continued to operate without any change. Among the nice touches, they noted service labels hidden under the cover, a black (rather than white) presence sensor matched to the casing color, a Russified remote, and a metal control-board housing for fire safety.
