1 / 8MDV in Russia is Midea’s factory brand, and it bears repeating every time: MDV and Midea really are produced at the same plant. In Russia they compete with each other, and their ranges are developed independently. INTEGRA Pro is a modern 2025 series, offered in white and black. The street price of the 9k model is around 55,000 rubles.
Visually, the unit is deliberately understated: matte white plastic, a clean straight line, no mouldings and no logos on the face of the casing. Spec-wise, the package is dense. The stated seasonal energy efficiency ratio (SEER) is 8.8—effectively A+++. Line length is 25 meters. There’s an 8 °C standby heating mode (useful for hotels and country homes). Wi‑Fi is preinstalled. A bipolar AirMagic ionizer is claimed, but during teardown we couldn’t physically locate it—this item remains an open question for the manufacturer.
In the box: two different fine filters, a remote holder, and batteries. The remote itself is the brand’s own design and one of the most convenient across Midea’s lineup: crisp buttons, backlight, and a dedicated AI EcoMaster key. What this button actually does in practice is a separate question: the manufacturer promises a balance of comfort and efficiency, but how the air conditioner “thinks” in this mode remains opaque even after a careful read of the manual.
The key engineering feature for the user is percentage-based fan speed control. Speed can be set from 1–100% in 1% increments. At the absolute minimum (1%), the instrument recorded a 2.7 m/s airflow—so “one percent” here is a fully functional speed with serious air exchange. The same approach also makes the “AI” mode meaningful: with a hundred available steps, the unit has plenty to choose from.
Noise at that minimum speed measured 33.8 dB. That’s close to the seasonal average—nothing outstanding. During measurement, the stream was blowing directly into the microphone, which may have added a few decibels; in a real room, with a ceiling-hugging “laminar” throw, the indoor unit will be perceived as noticeably quieter. Air distribution, by the way, is implemented smartly: the special shape of the front vane works like a ramp—on cooling the flow is kicked up to the ceiling, and on heating it’s pressed firmly downward.
A stress test on a lab variac: at both 150 V and 100 V input, the air conditioner holds without compressor cut-outs and with almost no change in RPM—expected behaviour for an inverter, factory-built Midea.
Inside the indoor unit, the heat exchanger is dual-row, 5 mm copper, 15 bends with a 56 cm loop length. By our measurement method, the surface area is 0.25 m². The visibly tight fin pack delivers good area even with slim 5 mm copper.
The outdoor unit looks like a “classic large MDV”: a big casing, a full-height diffuser, neat port protection, and no decorative rear grille. Vibration measurements come in around 0.35 at elevated RPM—above our benchmark, but that’s the fan spinning up for “guaranteed exchange.” As the RPM drops, vibration decreases. The compressor is a GMCC KSN series with index 103: for a 9k unit, that’s a confident, correctly sized index with no downrating. As expected, there’s no EEV; metering is via a capillary tube. Double insulation, tidy terminals, and a remote temperature sensor.
A separate, genuinely nice touch is the brand’s “reverse self-cleaning” mode: after shutdown, the fan spins in reverse for a minute and blows dust off the heat exchanger. It’s more noticeable than the “classic freeze” routine and physically clears deposits from the fins.
The copper surface area of the outdoor heat exchanger is 0.33 m². The “indoor 0.25 — outdoor 0.33” ratio is the classic one we like: the outdoor unit is 30% larger than the indoor, and the circuit is well balanced.
Bottom line on MDV INTEGRA Pro: a confident factory flagship at a sensible price. Strengths: Midea factory pedigree, 100 genuinely usable fan speeds, an excellent seasonal ratio of 8.8, 25 m line length, two fine filters + remote holder + batteries included, stable operation at 100 V, well-judged airflow distribution with the ramp-style vane, low vibration in normal operating modes, and the reverse self-cleaning mode. Weak points: 33.8 dB noise (not low for the class), the bipolar ionizer wasn’t found during teardown, the AI mode behaves like a black box, and the remote uses the same display segment for percentage fan speed and temperature setpoint, which can be mildly confusing. Recommended as a fully fledged “home inverter” for 2025, built to last without operational surprises.
