The series has been produced for several years under the same designation; online store descriptions still often quote the outdated R410A refrigerant, but in practice the units we tested run on R32. The retail price of the 09 model is about 35 thousand rubles; for a 2025 inverter, that’s the lower mid-range segment.
Visually, the indoor unit is restrained: a slim front panel with Rovex’s signature molding and a neat “Inverter” badge (with one slightly sloppy detail—the “inver” and “ter” parts are printed in subtly different fonts). The panel opening is wide, and a fine filter is included.
Among the stated specs, the standout advantages are a 25 m line length and a 10 m height difference. For an 09-class inverter, these are genuinely “cottage-grade” figures. Wi‑Fi is implemented as an optional module; it’s not included in the box by default.
The remote is a Midea OEM unit with Russian labels, but with two notable oddities. First, it has a dedicated “Reset settings” button: when pressed, it switches the air conditioner to “Auto at 26 °C,” while the manual says the “function is not active.” The “Remote control” and “Self-cleaning” buttons are also inactive. Second, in instrumented testing we found only four true fan speeds (three normal + Turbo + Sleep), even though the marketing claims five—we were unable to identify a fifth speed.
In terms of noise, on the quietest setting the unit measured 33 dB—right around our seasonal average, without airflow being artificially reduced. There is no mechanical hum; only airflow noise.
Variac test: the unit holds steady at 150 V input; at 100 V the compressor shuts down. And here Rovex shows a plus that’s rare for the budget segment: upon shutdown, the display shows error code RS01—meaning a technician can immediately see from the error table that the issue is power-related rather than a fault in the unit itself.
The indoor heat exchanger is almost fully two-row (only a small front section is single-row), with 7 mm copper (for an 09 model at this price, that’s unusually thick copper), 11 bends, and a 50 cm length. By our measurement method, the surface area is 0.24 m². A strong seasonal result, and it’s clear the manufacturer invested primarily in the indoor unit.
The outdoor unit is noticeably more compact—essentially a downsized Midea “standard 09.” The port cover has Midea’s signature bottom “tray” (the manufacturer chose not to fully enclose the ports), and the rear decorative grille is absent. Vibration is 0.20, a normal value, but the frequency character feels slightly unpleasant to the touch, suggesting the compressor is operating under load.
Inside is where the model’s main cost-saving shows. The copper surface area of the outdoor heat exchanger is 0.27 m². The “indoor 0.24 — outdoor 0.27” ratio is practically 1:1. In our seasonal sample, we see this ratio as a clear sign the manufacturer squeezed costs on the outdoor unit while keeping the indoor unit more or less within normal expectations.
The compressor is a GMCC KSK series with a 75 index. For an 09 model, an index of 75 is undersized (the normal range for a 09 is 89–98). The same KSK series is an older generation than the modern KSN typically fitted to inverters in the 35+ thousand class. Metering is done with a capillary tube; there is no EEV. There’s minimal insulation around the compressor; vibration nonetheless remains within normal limits, indicating tight factory fitment of the casing.
Bottom line on Rovex Rich: an inverter where the Krasnodar distributor built a “confident” indoor unit and a “budget” outdoor unit. Strengths: 7 mm copper in the indoor unit, 25 m line length and 10 m height difference, R32 refrigerant, RS01 error indication when the compressor trips, a fine filter included, tidy Midea-style assembly, and the classic understated Rovex look. Weak points: the GMCC KSK75 compressor is noticeably undersized for a 09, the outdoor heat exchanger copper area is only 0.27 m², the remote has odd “inactive” buttons, a fifth speed is claimed but not found by measurement, and at 100 V the compressor shuts down. Recommended for those who want an inverter with a long line length for reasonable money and can find pricing closer to 30–32 thousand; at the top retail price (35 thousand), the “price vs. specs” balance is already borderline.
