AI platform for engineering systems design enters the US and UK

Swedish startup Endra, backed by $50 million in funding, is launching its AI platform for automated MEP design in the US and UK markets.

Swedish startup Endra, which has secured $50 million in funding, is bringing its US and UK markets its AI-based platform for automated engineering systems design. The company specializes in creating 3D and 2D models, as well as supporting documentation for MEP engineers, converting routine processes:

  • equipment placement
  • routing of utilities
  • document preparation

into a fully automated format using AI, simulations, and computational geometry.


The Endra platform ingests standard building model files, integrates with BIM tools such as Revit, and reconstructs the facility in a detailed 3D environment. After that, the system automatically performs:

  • design
  • device placement
  • routing
  • generation of approval-ready documentation in 3D and 2D formats

As an example, the company cites the design of electrical systems for a commercial building with an area of 500,000 sq ft: traditionally this took about two months, but now the task is completed in less than a day.


The expansion was enabled by a Series A round of $50 million, led by the US venture firm Andreessen Horowitz. As part of its growth strategy, Endra is opening:

  • 🏢 a North American headquarters — in New York
  • an office — in San Francisco
  • a representative office — in London (to serve major engineering consulting companies in Europe and the Middle East)

Leadership of the US direction has been assigned to the company’s co-founder and president Anton Yurich.


At the same time, Endra is actively expanding its team in New York, San Francisco, and London, planning to bring the total number of employees to 100 people over the next twelve months. According to Anton Yurich, the shift to AI-driven design has already begun, and the companies that adopt such solutions first will gain advantages in speed and scalability of expertise in the world’s largest construction market.
