Cobb student becomes the first female winner of Georgia's state HVAC contest

An 11th-grader outperformed every rival in the key categories — from system diagnostics and electrical components to installation standards and safety — proving that the industry is changing its rules

A historic win at the HVAC contest

Ariela Vega, an 11th-grade student of the Cobb County School District, made history by becoming the first girl to win Georgia's state HVAC contest at the Georgia World Congress Center. She outperformed her rivals with outstanding command of the following aspects of the trade:
