YORK introduces the YH9 heat pump with 21 SEER2 efficiency

YORK has released the YH9 heat pump with variable-speed operation and a 21 SEER2 rating, delivering comfort even in cold climates while operating down to -10 °F. The model is designed for high efficiency and precise control. The publication is dated May 28, 2026.

Company YORK has introduced to the market a new variable-speed YH9 heat pump with a seasonal efficiency of 21 SEER2. The model provides precise temperature control and high energy efficiency even in regions with harsh climates, continuing to operate at an outdoor air temperature down to -24 degrees

ENERGY STAR-certified heat pumps are equipped with variable-capacity compressors that allow them to maintain up to 100 % capacity at -15 degrees and fully meet the requirements of the cold-climate program. As a result, the equipment delivers consistent comfort and reduces energy consumption throughout the entire heating season.

Design and service features:

  • 🔧 Independent panels provide quick access to power and control circuits

  • Diagonal shutoff valves make it easier to connect fittings with minimal losses

  • Full corner access

  • Removable fan guard grilles

  • Screw-in pressure sensors simplify service

For contractors’ convenience, a QR code is placed on the cabinet, allowing instant access to technical documentation and warranty information. Optimal system performance is ensured through integration with the SHC510 Smart Home Control smart thermostat, which:

  • 🏠 supports zoning

  • automatically configures connected equipment

  • enables remote diagnostics without a paid subscription
