HS Climate Solutions has introduced a new generation of propane Hisense heat pumps called the Hi-Hybrid R290 M Series. These monoblock models with capacities of 4, 6, and 8 kW feature updated software that allows the equipment to be used in hybrid systems as well as in all-electric configurations.
The shift to monoblock solutions using the R290 refrigerant is driven by the tightening of the European regulation on fluorinated gases, which will begin in 2027. Unlike split systems, in monoblocks the water is heated directly in the outdoor unit, which:
- eliminates refrigerant circulation indoors
- reduces risks associated with refrigerant leakage ✅
The new Hisense heat pumps will go on sale in the Netherlands and Belgium at the end of November 2026. The manufacturer expects that:
- configuration flexibility ⚙️
- the compact monoblock design
will help accelerate the adoption of environmentally friendly solutions in both the residential sector and the small commercial segment.
