Panasonic Heating & Cooling — partner of Borussia Dortmund

Panasonic Heating & Cooling Europe has entered into a five-year partnership with the football club Borussia Dortmund through 2031. The cooperation is aimed at promoting energy-efficient heat pumps and HVAC systems to modernize the club’s infrastructure. Pilot projects are planned for heating, cooling, and emissions reduction at BVB facilities.

Panasonic Heating & Cooling Europe has entered into a five-year partnership with the football club Borussia Dortmund (BVB), which will run until 2031. The parties agreed to jointly promote heat pumps and high-efficiency solutions for heating, air conditioning, and building cooling to improve the energy efficiency of sports infrastructure.

As the club’s official partner, Panasonic will bring its energy-saving expertise to support the modernization of BVB facilities. The agreement includes pilot projects under which Panasonic systems will be installed at the club’s sites, capable of reducing energy consumption and carbon dioxide emissions.

Key areas of cooperation:

The cooperation is based on shared values of sustainable development and responsible use of resources. Panasonic Regional Director Jose Manuel Alves noted that the club is connected with its fans not only through sport, but also through attention to environmental issues.
BVB Director Benedikt Scholz, in turn, emphasized that Panasonic technologies will help the club achieve its decarbonization goals and make the infrastructure more modern and environmentally friendly.
