The European Commission has put forward proposals to simplify energy efficiency labelling rules, taking into account EHPA recommendations from December 2025 as part of the Energy Product Omnibus initiative.
The new measures aim to:
- reduce the administrative burden while maintaining all necessary product requirements;
- take a more practical and digital approach to complying with energy efficiency labelling rules.
This will allow consumers to obtain clear information about equipment characteristics more quickly and conveniently, including heat pumps.
Such changes demonstrate that:

can be successfully combined.
Reducing excessive bureaucratic burden will support manufacturers and strengthen the position of the heat pump sector in Europe, without worsening the availability of data for buyers.
Next, the document will be reviewed by:
- the European Parliament;
- the Council.
