IOR partners with Danfoss on LEGO kits for refrigeration equipment

The Institute of Refrigeration (IOR) has announced the launch of a new series of LEGO kits in partnership with Danfoss. The project builds on the success of the first kit, donated by FJB in 2024, and now models that replicate a working refrigeration system will be provided to regional STEM ambassadors to support outreach activities in schools, colleges, and other educational institutions.

IOR President Lisa Jayne Cook (Lisa Jayne Cook FInstR) noted that the new series, sponsored by Danfoss, gives ambassadors a powerful hands-on tool that helps young people clearly understand the operating principles of refrigeration equipment.

In turn, Danfoss marketing communications manager Tina Holst Helledie (Tina Holst Helledie) emphasized that the company sees the future of the industry in attracting a new generation of engineers and technicians, and that LEGO, as a Danish brand, perfectly combines learning, innovation, and play. 📚✨
